LAUNDRY DETERGENT
You'll need:
1 bar Pure Soap (I use Home Brand);
1 Cup Washing Crystals;
500 ml Cloudy Ammonia;
1 or 2 Buckets (2 if you use a 9 litre size 1 if you use a 12 or 15 litre size)

Method:
Grate the soap into an large pot (like a soup pot). Add about 1 litre of boiling or near boiling water and mix well to dissolve. Put a cup of Washing Soda Crystals into the bucket, add the dissolved soap and stir until the mixture gets thick and gluggy. If you are using the 2 bucket method, pour half the mixture into the 2nd bucket now. Slowly add hand-warm water to fill the bucket just over half-way then add the Ammonia (half in each bucket) and stir. Fill the rest of the buckets with water and leave overnight to gel. Use approx. 2 or 3 cups per washing load. Be careful when you add the Ammonia as it is very strong and can catch your breath and make it difficult to breathe. Do this in the laundry with the door and windows open and keep the kids out of the way and never use bleach with this mixture as it is a deadly combination.
